Haskell`s Port of Excelsior in Excelsior

This is the local hangout. Very fun and good people watching with a great view of the lake. Try the grilled cheese & prime rib sandwich, it's absolutely sinful.

Server never came back to check on our table after dropping off our drinks. Had to get up and ask her if she would come take our food order. busy or not she forgot about us.

The cruise was very fun. There's nothing like hanging out on the lake.

A great break to the norm in Excelsior! A dive with cold beer and pull tabs.

Excelsior can have some more pricey, swanky, options. That’s why we love Haskell’s as it’s down to Earth and casual with amazingly good food. Draft selection includes local brews including Surly. Beer is served perfectly chilled in a proper glass even when sitting outside to view Lake Minnetonka and Port of Excelsior. Prices are reasonable and staff is super friendly and helpful. We love going here before seeing a flick at the Dock Cinema (so close). Being new to the area this is our go to spot to feel like a local.

Fun place to drink and play tabs...boxes are usually ok. Decent bar, food, and prices for being in snooty Excesior. Come see us before we get shut down for over serving. For real, they on there 3rd strike.

2 stars because the bartender was killing it. Originally got drinks at the bar and moved to a table. The 3 of us at 9pm moved to a table and we’re clearly looking to get food (ie. reviewing the menu) and also needed a refill on drinks. The server actively avoided our table for over an hour. When we approached her after an hour of waiting, she told us the kitchen was closed. Even though she served the table next to us 5 minutes prior. Don’t come here hungry, cause you’ll leave hangry.

Quality food and spirits in a bar atmosphere, good patio too. Some parking onsite.

Food was incredibly tasty and the service was spot on.

Meh, this place is a dive which is fine, it's just okay. Nothing special. Bathrooms are really gross though!

I love to visit this bar/restaurant whenever I am in Excelsior. It has been there since I was young and holds a sweet place in my heart. Can be crowded at times but always a fun atmosphere.

This is your standard local Townie bar. Most of the people sitting around the bar have been there for hours, days or years. The bartenders can be surly at times while they are pouring a surly beer. This is a great place to watch a Vikings game. Free touchdown drinks/tokens. Free wings at half time and lots of drawings and squares games. The food is your standard sysco bar food nothing to write home about but good.Monday is burger night and all the burgers are $6 great time to go.

The best food in town by far. This place is the neighborhood hangout. Gorgeous view of the lake from the patio, and right in the heart of beautiful Excelsior. The server Mitch is amazing and awesome. Good times

Phenomenal! The service was great! The food was AMAZING! We called ahead and made a reservation. Outdoor and indoor dining areas are available now. We were on the side of the building, outdoor seating, it wasn't too chilly due to the building blocking the wind off the lake. Definitely call ahead and make reservations. They are very busy. The parking is paid parking on the street. The food is very reasonable and large portions. Very fresh and delicious! You can tell the cooks were happy when creating their masterpieces!The atmosphere and energy is extraordinarily friendly. Very inviting, what an exiting time to get to eat out and enjoy friends and family!

I love this place. The servers are super friendly, the kitchen staff loves to make excellent food, and the bartenders pour drinks sometimes.The grilled cheese prime rib sandwich is awesome and only the best beers are selected for the taps.

Cannot beat the best casual bar in downtown Excelsior! Go with friends, run the jukebox, eat their amazing quesadillas and do some pull tabs.

Great waitress last night, Friday June 29. Super busy and had entire inside tables as her section. Friendly, fun and fast. The food was great, too!
